"We had a great stay at Fortuna Retreat. Only notes would be that the room could be a bit cleaner (in the corners of the bathroom, behind furniture) and the view from the ground floor rooms is not as advertised- you can’t get a clear view of the volcano. Otherwise the staff were amazing, the pool was lovely and the grounds were extremely well kept with beautiful greenery."

"Our honeymoon suite was everything we wanted and more. They have a restaurant on the property that is delicious the bridge over the stream & long walkway back felt like that of a top notch resort. "This hotel was so comfy, cozy and clean. The staff were so nice and spoke English. The room itself was beautiful walking outside to a tropical paradise. I didn’t get a chance to eat the breakfast because they came late with our food and we were expected to do a coffee tour at 8:00, but it was quite alright. The room and staff made up for that. I’ll definately be going back!!!"

"I have to say Costa Rica on a whole is a very clean country, the hotel was the same . Very clean and helpful and pleasant staff. We only got breakfast, but the food was good and always on time. There’s no night life at the hotel or around the area and shop closes 10pm latest . A very quiet stay and more sounds of wildlife and nature . Saw many types of pretty birds at the compound and great view of the volcano."
