"Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. Azahara ist eine herzliche Gastgeberin, immer aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist hausgemacht und lecker, wenn auch mit kleinem Verbesserungspotenzial bei der Abwechslung. Eine idyllische Unterkunft, in der man sich sofort wohlfühlt. "

"Lovely casa rural, sympathetically restored to provide comfortable accommodation. Especially enjoyed the view of the goats from our room. Lots of information about what to see and do locally. We caught the train from Bermeo up the estuary to Gernika, a lovely trip."
