"The construction right below our room until after 9:30pm was aweful. I'm surprised we weren't at least placed in a room further from the construction. Hot tub was brown, not at all like the photos. The room was clean so that met expectations."

"It's clear the owners are refurbishing this motel right off I-91 in Putney, VT. The bathrooms are freshly tiles, wooden floors replace wall to wall carpet, new lighting and thermo pane sliding doors. If you need a bed on a long drive, support these folks. Putney Food Coop is just up the road for great coffee and a wide choice of food."

"There’s no sound proofing because it’s an old historic building. the exposed air ducts carry voices from hall and adjacent rooms.The suites are designed poorly. You have to walk through the master bedroom past the bed to get to the bathroom from the other bedroom. The whole place smells like burnt popcorn from the movie theater. And the front desk isn’t open at night. The sheets were clean. The shower was clean. The ceiling has exposed insulation. These are very outdated rooms. The windows are...

It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. "This property was definitely on the older side and could use some renos. All of the towels in my room were stained, and the kleenex boxes left empty. I don't think one single staff member greeted me during the 3 nights I stayed there. They just sat behind the desk or walked about but never said hello or even smiled. "
