"The Inn at South Stainley Stayed one night only Stayed in room 6 in the annexe, a short stride from the main building. Super king bed, spacious warm and welcoming room, spotless . Good size bathroom with both rain shower and body shower. Complimentary toiletries including shower caps! Dressing gowns and slippers, a lovely touch). "The staff were courteous on arrival and gave us a tour of the beautiful building before showing us to our room. The house and surrounding environment were superb. The room was comfortable and clean albeit a little too warm at night. Our breakfast was tasty and varied served by a very polite young lady. We enjoyed our brief stay very much and would recommend it to others. "

Double room with king size bed is very spacious, clean bedroom, plenty toilet rolls, full size kettle with tea/coffee and good quality cotton bath sheets. Slept well. Quiet location. English breakfast is good and a good selection of cereals. Wow! Their chef cooked perfect poached eggs. Clean restaurant. The only thing I don't like is their tiny soap for washing hands and no hair conditioner. I just used my own shower...

"Staff at Oulton Hall are the stand out feature. From check in to Oliver in the restaurant to the waiting staff at breakfast, all are well above expectations. Old school service where staff wait for you to pass rather than rushing to get where THEY need to be is actually quite refreshing these days. Can some things be improved, sure but this hotel has a lovely pool, great dinner and breakfast and just a lovely vibe. Check it out, for the most of us, it’s a wonderful experience. "
