"On arrival we were greeted at the bar by a lovey gentleman whose name I believe was Wayne, he was very welcoming and great fun to talk to. The check in process was very easy and the room was everything we wanted. The location of the hotel was perfect, situated in the town centre. The food and service at the pub was great, certainly no complaints and we were very pleased to find “trickles” on the menu, something me and my partner were both very excited to try and they didn’t disappoint "

"If I could give this place 6 stars I would! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service was friendly and first class. The room was very nice and the bed extremely comfortable. I had the best night's sleep I have had in years.Could not find fault in any way with the evening meal and the breakfast. The young lads and lasses who were waiting on the tables both inside and out, always had a smile on their face."

"Excellent junior suite. Newly built. Excellent restaurant and breakfast, free parking. The hotel is a 20 min walk from the centre of Sherborne. We will stay at the hotel again when travelling through Dorset. Highly recommend."

"Good location in centre of Sherborne. Very reasonably priced room and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pub has a car park and is also just 5/10 minutes walk from station. The delightful Sherborne abbey is just a very short walk from the inn and there are numerous restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable although there was occasional noise from the bar downstairs or outside tables. The Abbey is close by and the clock chimes might bother some. "Nice and clean - a good stay. The hosts were really great when I arrived quite late at night due to a missed train, and were really helpful in making sure I could get right into my room easily. I really appreciated their helpfulness and easy communication. There are a number of pets about the house including dogs, who make a bit of noise in the evening and early morning, but not too bad. I would be quite happy to stay here again."
