"We had a great 3-night family stay at Whitsunday Terraces in Airlie Beach. The location is excellent—close to everything—and the views are absolutely stunning, which really made the trip special. That said, the kitchen and bathroom are quite dated and in need of an upgrade. The most frustrating part was the lack of WiFi in the rooms, which was a real inconvenience during our stay. "The buffet was amazing with all the variety of dishes. The bungalow was spacious and in a great location however we were awoken numerous times at night by some Bush Stone-curlews screaming! I was not familiar with these birds that sound like a woman screaming until I heard them. Outside our bungalow we had a nice view of some wallabies and birds. I can’t wait to return to Hamilton Island however I would plan to stay in the Reef hotel where hopefully it would be a bit quieter from the screaming birds:)"
