"We had a nice stay while doing the Borders Abbeys Way, beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options and we also had dinner in the restaurant. The bar was a meeting place for locals which gave it a nice community atmosphere."

"Staff delightful, nothing too much trouble. Nice and clean, and what you would expect from a 17th century establishment, and comfortable. Parking was secure and easily accessible. You are in the centre of the village. Easy access to other areas of the Scottish Borders. Evening tends to close early so make sure you bring a good book. "

"Breakfast was top notch, well cooked, well presented and plentiful. Could not fault it. The room (7) was well presented, clean, tidy and comfortable. On the down side it was extremely hot and a blocked overflow drain kept us awake most of our first night. However, there was no issues and once we had pointed out that the overflow was a problem we were promptly oved to another room. The heating in the initial room was stifling but it should be noted that we visited in January and the outside...
