"The room was fine but lack of amenities. The view was amazing. In terms of security, I feel that they could be improved. It's a club hotel where I felt almost anyone can access your room's area because the hotel shares facilities with Langkawi Yacht Club (restaurants, swimming pool, spa, etc). My room was very warm. The air conditioning did not do its justice until I had to switch on the fan. I hate sleeping with a fan. "

"If you like closeness to nature, this the place for you. Squirrels, birds and monkeys visited our balcony during our stay. The glass walled villa offers amazing view of the forest in all four directions but if you prefer privacy, draw the curtains, which we didn't have to use. Given the location, expect some ants, mostly in the bathtub but they don't bite or bother us. The adorable resident dogs do bark intermittently at night so bring ear plugs if necessary. "We had a fantastic stay at the Bayou. It is a really nice setting, and the pool an absolute highlight with plenty of sun loungers. It was lovely to enjoy a cocktail by the pool, and complimentary popcorn in the afternoons which was a nice touch! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean. We looked forward to breakfast every day! It had an excellent selection with some new options each morning, so delicious. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again - we stayed 8 nights but would have loved to stay longer!"
