"The room did the job - but numerous issues. Missing some basic necessities like a bedside light. Had to use the public wifi from the bar downstairs which was choppy at best. The problems started right from the beginning. Check in according to the website was 10:00pm. But at 8:30pm I had a message saying I wouldn't be able to check in after 9 as the bar shuts at that point. I was on a train so unable to get there for that time, and somebody very kindly stayed to let me in, but they still...

8. Belle Vue Hotel

Llanwrtyd Wells

"It's a traditional old pub with rooms in a delightful village. We received a warm welcome, were shown to our rooms, and had a welcome dinner. Sunday nights are apparently busy, with a steady demand for food between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. The following morning we were served a good home-cooked breakfast. The hotel seems to be run by a farming family who have many animals to care for in addition to the human locals and the occasional international visitors. It's a lot to juggle, and they do a really...

"Hotel.com act like a scam. I didn't know that the Ty Nant hotel was only for students. After contacting Hotels.com several times, it was impossible to get the deposit back. Therefore, Hotels.com has miscommunication with Ty Nant hotel and I been lie about the refund. Keep up the good work Hotels.com Anyway, it doesn't matter what's my opinions. But definitely it will have a impact on people when they're read my review on Trustpilot. "

17. Marina View Apartment

Kastil

"Lovely apartment with great views over the Marina and a short walk to the beach and coastal walk. Plenty of bars and good restaurants within 2 to 15 mins walk and lots to see. Only 20 mins walk into the town centre. Pescado restaurant below is fabulous. The apartment has good sized rooms, a well equipped kitchen and internet connect TV. There is free parking over the road arranged by the owner. The block has an elevator though it is only 2 floors up if you want the exercise. We may well...

"Perfect location next to marina and the beach, beautiful panoramic view on Swansea and surrounding hills, very close to shops and restaurants, there is the bar on 28th floor with amazing view in all directions, apartment is very nice, clean and comfortable, host is very friendly and told me what is worth to visit around, where I can find local shops and good restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay and would like to come back in the future."
