Besides the fact there were roaches in both villas they put us in, the bigger issue was the fact that two of the male workers let themselves in our locked villa while we were relaxing in the pool (3 women traveling alone) after we told them we were unavailable. This was very startling and disconcerting. When we discussed it with management, they couldn’t have cared less. When I later brought my safety concerns about this incident to Barcelo corporate, they didn’t respond and instead sent my email back to the resort to once again respond to me that everything was basically no big deal and they did nothing wrong.
There are plenty of resorts in Phuket… choose a different one if you are currently considering this one!

This was our 4th stay here and we were a little reticent as had heard the adult restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishment. However we were pleased to find the alternative in place was adult breakfast at the Asian wok which was amazing. We booked the a la carte restaurants for every evening and had a great experience. The staff are amazing as usual the building work is as discreet as it could be. Overall a great stay again
