"This is my overall pick for Cape Town, South Africa. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and just spoiled rotten. The hotel was very clean from the dining areas and rooms to the gym facility. I can't rave enough about this place! The food was incredible! Definitely 5 star quailty on everything. "

"We were very happy with our stay at the Commodore and would recommend it highly. Before our stay, I was concerned about location, but it’s a very easy walk and safe walk to the V&A waterfront. The breakfast was excellent. The actual dining room while we were there was closed for a few days as they did some work on it, but the outdoor dining area was opened as was the bar area so I think they handled that situation very well. We ate dinner there one night and the food was excellent, but the service could have been better. We had a suite on the sixth floor and it was wonderful with a lovely view. "

"Spa booking done for 2 x persons, were given time of 16.50pm which I thought as weird time, so went to Spa to confirm to find that booking was done for 16.15 but only for 1 x persons. If I haden,t hone past to check, we woulden,t had the booking. Staff in experienced I guess. Hotel water drains need attention as there is a bad smell in showers. Heve stayed in vatious rooms and same smell Food in pool restaurant not for 5 star standard.Otherwise nice stay and great service."

"Had a lovely experience at the hotel. Everything was perfect but what really stood out for me was the professionalism and friendliness of literally all the staff. From the courteous reception staff, the ladies at the other desk who where very kind and patient in helping me with suitable tours to book, the cleaners who were always very polite and friendly and the staff at the outdoor areas who where just exceptional as this is where I spent most of my time at the hotel. Thank you all and hope to see you again 😊"
