"This is a lovely guest house inside the Pingyao ancient city walls. It is convenient walking distance to major streets with attractions and restaurants, but still quiet and peaceful. Room and garden were very nice. Staff were wonderful. I was offered western breakfast which was fine, but wish I had known I could pick a local version."

"Located just inside the old city so close to the sights, restaurants etc. Boutique style. Staff were friendly and welcoming but donโt expect much English spoken. Thereโs just enough for basic checking in etc although written messages pre check in were very useful. A driver was arranged for me to pick up and drop off at station at a cost of CNY30 each way."

"Very nice hotel in an historic building inside the ancient town. Friendly And helpful staff, good food (although I kind of felt that Chinese customers got kind of different menu and breakfast). Spacious rooms and bath amenities. Beds can be on the hard side to my taste. "

"We found the hotel to have a lovely traditional atmosphere, the rooms were large, with many traditional features, we had Chinese breakfast that was interesting. Misha welcomed us and was extremely helpful, we had free tea, we were picked up and dropped off at the station, we loved her! And she spoke very good English! Lovely experience, we were very happy and impressed with it"
