Yufuin Kotobuki Hananosho overfed us
Very convenient, near train station. Clean and pleasant ambience. Shared onsen is generally good, we like the outdoor onsen. Generous in toilet amenities bag. Commend on Ms Kawahala excellent customer service, she is friendly and helpful at check in counter.

Walking distance to JR station. Friendly staff, great view of the mountain from our japanese room tat sleeps 5pax with 2 toilets to share. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic and yummy. Definitely recommend to friends who's visiting Yufuin.

Great Japanese style hotel. Convenient location from Fukuin station. Quiet and very friendly and helpful staff. Food is also very good and quite an impressive amount. One negative was chose this hotel since they have a sauna but is closed due to corona still. This was not mentioned on Expedia. At this point in time being closed due to coronavirus is a bit outdated and disappointing

Hotel staffs very helpful, helped us to call taxi and arrange for luggages delivery to our next destination. Location - 4 mins walk to the Yufuin Train Station and about 22 mins walk to Kinrin and 17 mins walk to Yufuin Floral Village. Excellent choice for accommodation if u visit Yufuin.

The food and Onsen in the hotel may not be as better than as others in Aso area. But the hotel staff is really so nice. They asked me what kind of food is not good. I told my dad not used to sashimi and they change the dish to a rather big fish head which is my dad favourite. We enjoyed the hotel facilities much. The hotel room is spacious.

Very near the JR station and the room is spacious, facing the mountain with nice view. However, the food provided in the restaurant is only average. We stayed there 2 nights and ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Suggest to install drinking water facility in the Onsen bath room.

Room very spacious
The public onsen is nice. I love the room, it’s very spacious. And the futon is excellent.The breakfast and dinner have a lot of variety however the taste is just so so. location is great!

Excellent Hotel
Convenient, 6-7 mins walk from train station. Opposite to the hotel, there is a laundry shop. Not expensive. It’s good to get the dirty clothes washed in the middle of a long journey.

lucky to find a room for 6 people.
dinner and breakfast better than expected. Everything was fine except the price but I guess the area and the type of hotel stayed reflects the price paid.

Never written a review before, but I feel like I have to submit a review for this hotel. Have been to a Japanese Onsen hotel before, this experience was so much worse. Food was terrible, need to call the front desk to get them to setup our futon, need to bring the towels back from onsen you need to pay if you want a new one. Overall it was ok if you just need place to stay, but not worth the price.

Great room, poor dining and service
Great room: clean, well maintained and had a small indoor spa pool ! Very comfortable room. However, the dinner was disappointing as the food were put onto the table way before our scheduled dining time and was cold and dry. The restaurants was dirty and poorly maintained. One of the worse dining experience I've ever had among all the Japanese onsen hotels that I have stayed in. The overall service was minimum.

Excellent location
If you are travelling by JR, this is your perfect choice. Hotel staff is very friendly & helpful. The public outdoor bath is very good. But the food for breakfast & dinner is not very attractive. The Japanese style room is spacious & the balcony has a s tunning view. Don't miss a big supermarket on the left side of the main street near a big carpark.

Dinner and breakfast very good a bit pricy, do not have to take as package but that was not clear on website. The Hot springs was what made it worthwhile, large spacious and not crowded. Only other people there are families from Korea.

Bad experience at Yufuin Onsen Yufuin Kotobuki Han
I had a very bad experience with the service of this hotel. The staff at the receptionist are very unhelpful. This is the first unhelpful service I found in Japan hotel. We do not speak Japanese and I think it is very basic service that the staff at the reception area to hep us make restaurant reservation as per our request. But they just reply us " we do not provide this service". I think this hotel is only targeting local Japanese customers and they do not care about foreigners. At my booking I clearly listed that my room will cater 2 adults and 2 kids. Our room has a private onset bath but we found only 3 bath towels in our room. I called up the front desk asking them to give me one more towel and to my surprise, they said it is the hotel policy that each room is only granted 3 towels! I am just thinking if I am staying in a 1 to 2 star hotel! And inside the room there are 6 futons but they only have 3 pillows. That is very bad. And during my booking, breakfast and dinner are included in the charges. But the quality of breakfast and dinner are far from expectation. The sequence took too long for the food to come in order. Rice only delivered after a few requests. Fried fish are cold and dried up. I would never recommend to any friends to ruin their holiday here at this hotel.

Big spacious room with nice scenery.
The room is big spacious with balcony, nice scenery and fresh air. The hotel provided sumptous breakfast and dinner set. Alot of type of fish dishes, the dinner is way too sumptous that we eat till too full. Nice indoor and outdoor onsen.

Convenient and location . Staff can't speed in English .room are quiet clean and my room are suitable for whole family stay .the hot spring bath operation time is from 2 pm until 1 am.if can please request a mountain view ( mount Yufui) room , a nice view while you enjoy it at a morning . Breakfasts and dinner taste is expectable only . I prefer go opposite train station ramen shop take a meal there . And the ice cream very delicious.
