"We had such an amazing stay at The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun! They kindly allowed us an early check-in at 9 AM, which was incredible after a long trip, we were so grateful for that. A special thank you to Ricardo, an exceptional concierge who truly made our stay unforgettable. He helped us with all our tour bookings, provided maps, arranged our massage appointments, and guided us through everything so smoothly. He is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely cares about guests. Thank you so much, Ricardo, for your outstanding service, you made our Cancun trip even more special! "I was very surprised by this resort. For context, I went with a group of 10 (20-22 year olds) for 3 nights and 4 days. I was expecting very little but everyone ended up having a really great time ESPECIALLY for the price. While we were disappointed we were never sat all together for dinners at the buffet and that we only got to try the Mexican restaurant on our last night- everything else was wonderful. The food was surprisingly good and nobody around us said otherwise (my friends had 3-4 plates and appreciated all the options). The pool was wonderful and the beach, while small, was big enough for everyone to enjoy. The drinks were a little watered down but that didn't bother us and was consistent with most other resorts we've been to. The rooms were very nice and super clean everyday. The mini fridge was always stocked with snacks, large water bottles and beer. Every room having a balcony was also super fun and made for great pictures. The activities during the day and evenings were fun pregames (yoga, kareokee, MJ show, wine and paint etc). We were a walking distance (walk through the beach- left side) to nicer beaches, our catamaran ride, shops and jet skiing. There are also ferries to isla mujeres and xacaret that load on the right side of the beach which made it super easy to get around. The 1$ shuttle downtown to Coco bongo and some other really great clubs was awesome and the sales people got us a great price and free tickets to these places. Overall a great time. "

"Lets start from the beginning, the food at this resort is terrible. We stayed at Royal level and the food wasn’t any better then the buffet. The sewer smell in the resort is very off putting. We were made to change rooms because of a leak they had in the room under us. We came back from breakfast and the water in the shower and tub were shut off, we were told they had to turn it off due to a leak. We were understanding and told the staff its fine and when we would be back so our water could be turned back on. We came back to our room and there were five men in our bathroom cutting a hole in the ceiling with all of our personal belongings everywhere. At rhis point we were upset. Went to the desk and we were told it would be five minutes. We were lied to and the manager caught us as we were about to go to the pool and told us we had to change rooms. All in all it was about 5 hours lost of our vacation. This resort needs alot of updating. The best part was the wild life. "

"It is extremely diffivult to get in touch with someone for room service, for simple requests such as towels or water. It is also impossible to get a reservation at one of the restuarants that required reservations "
