"A lot of pros and cons with this place. Very upscale and the room was spacious and modern. The location is excellent. On the other hand, the room design was a bit odd. Bathroom not truly separate from the bed area (sliding thin panels) and there was street noise. A lot of non-guests frequent the hotel so it was busy but not in a good way. Services, like the cafe, were closed during our entire stay of four nights. Weird for a hotel at this price and expected caliber. I liked it okay but my wife...

"The standout are the staff and Collins place breakfast. Rooms were loud as you could hear others in their rooms and bathrooms. Very warm room and aircon don’t seem to work. Could hear lifts move up and down despite being a few rooms away. Bed was comfortable."

"Our room smelled like cigarette smoke...very disappointing. They offered to move us, but we were unpacked. Housekeeping was not in out room until close to 4 pm the next day. Overall, we expected a bit more. "

"Great overall stay! Did find the bathroom sink far too small though and each time using it would need to mop up the water on the floor. Breakfast was excellent at the Venom Brewery. One suggestion would be to get a professional coffee machine. Found coffee to be sub par for Melbourne standards. Enjoyed tasting some great beers and loved the spicy wings. Will definitely stop in again next time in Melbourne."

"The hotel is right across from Flinders station and about a 10 minute walk from Southern Cross, making it easy to access many places. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. I could easily walk to Hosier Lane and Chinatown. The Southbank Promenade on the Yarra River was about a 10 minute walk. My room was clean and had everything I needed for a wonderful stay. "

"We booked through expedia and when we went to check in we were told that our booking was for a standard king room and not the double/twin king room we paid for. We ended up getting back reward credit from expedia but it still worked out that we overpaid for the room. Everything felt like an up sale. Want to check in earlier thats $50, want both your rooms in the same floor that would be $30 per room per night. Want the double/twin king room that we paid for but expedia/crown wrongly booked...
