"The hotel could not be better placed. For bars,and restaurants. Absolutely great."

"The room was fine, and the breakfast good. It's well situated in the centre of the old city. The only issue for a 79 year old was our room was three floors up with no lift. The staff were very helpful carrying luggage for us."

"The staff were very helpful & friendly. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but very clean and the bed very comfortable. The dressing table has no lamp or light nearby, so it is hard to get ready, appying make up as the bathroom light isn't great either. There is a pub across the road which played loud music until 2am plus lots of noise outside first thing because of the main road. Saying that, we enjoyed our stay . The hotel is in a great location close to the sites if you don't mind the noise....

"Great breakfast ideas, and excellent service. The breakfast that we had were very tasty. Evening meals were also great well worth coming back for. Good selection of drinks at the bar very nice public area."

"Good budget hotel to stay in York with free parking. Staff were great and really helpful. Only downside of the room was the single glaze windows. The hotel is on quite a busy road so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs or get a room at the back of the hotel."

"Very out dated, cobwebs in the room,& a banana had been left by previous guest, so not very clean."
