We truly had a wonderful stay at this property. The host was more than willing to do anything for us. Initially we could not find the property, but Kathryn came out to the Little Village, where we had stopped and brought us to the property. The room was fantastic. The room was absolutely beautiful the bed was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and breakfast the next morning was absolutely smashing. We will definitely stay again, and we highly recommend this lodging to anyone else.

We really enjoyed our stay at Colton Haggs Farm. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. The host, Catherine, was really pleasant and helpful. Her breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this B&B.

Coltin Haggs Farm B&B is just the best
We popped to York for some Christmas shopping and to have a look around the Christmas market. We stayed here as it was in a good location for us to get into York. The place is less then 10 minutes away from the Askham Bar pack and ride. We stayed in room 2 as there was 3 of us and the place was amazing. Everything was clean and tidy the room was fantastic as you can see in the photos. Catherine was so welcoming and helpful. I think we have found our new favourite place to stay when visiting friends in York from now on. Thanks Catherine for all your help while we were with you.

Exceptional communication by the host, beautiful room with so many little touches making it like a home from home. Catherine treated us like friends and nothing was too much trouble. The location was so quiet and easy to access with our own parking space. Breakfast was plentiful with quality products cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.

As soon as we arrived, our host, Catherine came out to greet us and show us to our lovely room. The room, which overlooked the farm yard was very spacious with a really comfortable bed and a clean, modern en-suite. Catherine met us downstairs for breakfast. The breakfast was first class with fresh food cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend this B&B. This lovely farm is in the countryside and a car is needed to get around.

Excellent place
Absolutely lovely place to stay. Warm friendly greeting on arrival from Catherine. The room was fresh and clean and everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Nothing was to much trouble for Catherine. Definitely planning another stay.

Beautiful accommodation
We went to York to surprise my mum for her 70th birthday and stayed with Catherine. The B&B was everything it states. Catherine was an amazing host, very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was beautiful, we were very happy with our stay and want to return at some point, thankyou

Peaceful country stay
Was warmly greeted upon arrival, the room was a very generous size and immaculately clean. Beautiful rural setting and wonderfully quiet. Only a short drive to the neighbouring village for dinner. Would happily stay again.

If you like off beaten path, this is amazing
Lovely farm B&B, clean, fresh milk in fridge downstairs on arrival (choice of semi, whole and oat!!) comfy furniture. Lovely hosts who made us a stunning breakfast the following morning. Would definately book again. Thanks

Fantastic host, so attentive, kind and considerate. Will go out of her way to help. Delicious cooked breakfast, fresh berries, yoghurts and cereal on offer. Clean well maintained accommodation. Only improvement I can make would be a mirror in bedroom near a socket where you can use a hairdryer and straighteners, luckily I brought my own.

The room was much better than we might have expected based on the Hotel.com listing. The B&B is an extension to the main farmhouse and situated in a delightful inner courtyard. Both the room and en-suite were very clean and spacious (including full size bath) with a new and fresh décor but retaining the original beams in the ceiling. The location was perfect for our weekend family wedding event in a nearby village. Catherine the host was delightfully engaging and nothing was too much trouble. We would have no hesitation in recommending Coltan Haggs B&B and would certainly stay there again. We are still enjoying the freshly laid eggs we brought home with us.

Great welcome wonderful stay
Truly one of the best B&Bs, right from the wonderful welcome to the time we left. It was like being welcomed by an old friend. Catherine is so lovely and friendly. The room was great, very comfortable with a lovely shower. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection, also cereal and lovely fresh berries. Would definitely recommend.

I loved my stay at Colton Haggs Farm B B, the setting is beautiful and peaceful. I was greeted by the host with a very warm welcome and shown around. The room was immaculate with lovely decor. Both the room and bathroom were a great size and I felt very comfortable and relaxed; it made for a great nights sleep! The host recommended a lovely local pub for my evening meal. The host very kindly accommodated my need for a slightly earlier breakfast and I was greeted in the morning with a lovely spread including berries, yoghurts and pastries. I had opted for a continental style breakfast but I had been offered a cooked breakfast option. As I travel for business finding gems like this makes being away from home so much nicer (and enjoyable!) All in all I could not fault my stay here and my only regret was having to leave for work! If you get the chance….stay here!

If they have availability, STAY HERE!
Perfect from start to finish! Location is so convenient for York. Just a few minutes from a park and ride into the city. Accommodations are immaculate. Beds are comfortable and bathroom is amazing - complete with heated towel rack! Breakfast was delicious! But the best part was the service - the loveliest people who truly made us feel welcome. We were sad to leave and are already hoping to plan a return visit. It was our daughter’s first time staying in a Bed and Breakfast and we told her it was the best in our lives! If you are lucky enough to get a reservation here, book it!

Great half way point stay
We had an amazing stay! Catherine was very warm and super efficient. The bed was so comfortable and was exactly what we needed as a stop off enroute to Edinburgh! We were also treated to a great breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic B&B
Stayed here 17th Dec for one night and wished it was for much longer. This hidden gem of a B&B is without doubt the best we have stayed in, from the friendliest of arrival welcomes to the scrumptious " Bonus" cooked breakfast which we were expecting to be continental. This property has been superbly finished with everything that you could want, the bedrooms are both a great size, Bedroom 1 has a very large walk in shower and Bed 2 has a bath with shower. The location although outside the city centre is perfect for those interested in local walks and is only a few miles to the nearest Park & Ride for a stress free visit into York. If considering this property I would highly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Cannot wait to re-visit York and stay at this wonderful B&B again. Perfect stay
Lovely experience at Colton Haggs Farm following a friends wedding. Catherine was so lovely- let us have an early check in, really helpful & accommodating. The location was so lovely - really quiet and relaxed. The place was spotlessly clean! We loved the tea and biscuits following a late night home & the fresh breakfast in the cutest living room in the morning! Hoping to be invited to another nearby wedding just so we can go back!

Couldn't want for better, fantastic host, breakfast and facilities. B&B is just outside York City centre, we drove to Askham Park & Ride only a few minutes from Colton Haggs to catch a bus into the York each day.

A lovely stay!
My family and I stayed at Colton Haggs Farm B&B and loved it! Location-wise, it is a short drive from York city centre and is in a lovely peaceful, rural setting. The accommodation was absolutely pristine-beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept well. The continental breakfast selection was amazing and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Catherine was the perfect host and looked after us so well during our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommended Colton Haggs-my son said that he wanted to live here forever :-)

We had an excellent 1 night stay in this gem of a place. Catherine was most helpful and let us check in our bags earlier than advertised so we could go and spend the day with our son. The room was spotless, modern with all that was required. Luxury bathroom and a delicious breakfast. We will be returning.
