"Lovely hotel on the banks of the lake. Spa including indoor pool, sauna & steam room along with changing facilities. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Only downsides were breakfast was small portions, the veggie sausage was amazing but the veggie bacon not so much. There were many rooms that had been refurbished but ours wasn’t one of them, so the decor was a little dated & the fabric sofa needed a good clean. "Firstly, the location was great. The Stork is near the M6 and minutes away from downtown Lancaster, yet you feel like you are in the country. We enjoyed a last minute stay at the Stork and feel as though we had found a hidden gem. If the rooms aren't brand new, they certainly appear so.
