Basic, comfortable and great service
The manager and staff at this hotel are great. The man who opens the door upon entry and exit was always smiling, lovely. This hotel is not in the main drag and instead it has more of a local appeal, although it is not too far from anywhere! There is a market and handy mart virtually across the road and many cheap local restaurants. The room was basic but comfortable, definitely would go back.

What wonderful staff! I was royally spoiled by Mr Tin and his staff. Loved the local breakfasts, someone getting me a taxi, coming with an umbrella when I arrive in the rain.

Very good
The room I stayed was very clean and comfortable because the hotel kindly upgraded the room to a better room. Breakfast was ok but the staffs were really nice and friendly. I would stay here again for my next trip.

Only spent one night here but wouldn't want to spend a longer time here. The shower was good and the room spacious but a little smelly. Not much of a view from the room and could be noisy at times with the traffic. Bakery across the road was convenient and easy to walk to some places or call a taxi.

Great people, price and location
Mk hotel is great for the price. I've stayed in a few other places in Yangon at this price range, and the cleanliness and location is the best I've found (if you want to be downtown). Great service. Only real criticism is the breakfast, but it's not like it's better at other hotels at this price, and you can walk anywhere else to eat.

Enjoyable stay in yangon
We arrived by night bus, and managed to check in to our room at 730am. No complaints there. Breakfast is good, plenty of choices, but dining area is small, so do get there earlier. While it is downtown yangon, it is a little further from the attractions like sule pagoda although we walked from the hotel to botataung and sule pagoda, around 20 minutes, 1km+ or it is only one cheap taxi ride away. took us awhile to choose a hotel for yangon, but it was indeed a good choice.

Friendly and helpful Hotel
Friendly and helpful hotel. Breakfast - a small buffet with local and western dishes and good service. Room was very clean with good wifi, some film channels in English, CNN, and some Myanmar Tv in English. Hot water shower. Kettle and good air conditioning. We slept very well. Only minor criticism is the hotel is a little bit from the centre, however taxis were good value and seemed very honest and there are some tea shops like Lucky 7 and restaurants like Thai 47 nearby. We enjoyed our 4 days in Yangon very much, lots to see and do and people seem very pleased to be able to help tourists. Lots of new restaurants and cafes.

Room is clean and spacious, hot water shower is good, Air con is strong. Two brief power trips happened. WiFi is intermittent. Staff is helpful. No breakfast provided. Sister hotel Shwe Poe Eain charges 5000k for breakfast. Swimming pool there is free to use but there's no changing room. Location is off the main centre by 300 metres. And music and singing from a local festival can be heard in the room one whole night til dawn. Hotel is value for money for shared rooms between 2 to 4 persons.

The hotel is conveniently located. Easy to go to the sightseeing location, everything within 3000 kyat by taxi or sgd $3. The room is clean and comfortable for me. For some others, the bed might be too hard. The service from the employees are the best part of this hotel. They are Super nice and helpful.

Good Hotel.
Was allocated a room with twin beds, asked to move to a room with double bed which meant a free upgrade.However, room was smaller with little natural light. The hotel is a little way from the main city area. What was really impressive about the hotel was its cleanliness and friendly and helpful staff.

fantastic, clean and great located hotel
Taxi from airport struggled to find the hotel, but when we got there on the fixed price of $10, the hotel was very very clean, lifts to each floor, the staff were so friendly and spoke great english. We were only there 1 night and didnt leave until the night bus to Began so they stored our luggage without question, and arranged taxi to the bus terminal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, i only booked it due to the good reviews and they were all correct, its a great find.

Good Hotel with some quirks.
All staff at hotel were excellent and helpful. Overall nice service. Cable TV with many channels, good AC. However, room walls were covered with tiles from floor to ceiling which made the rooms appear smaller and institutional. Also, internet was very slow. The breakfast was good with some local dishes.

Excellent service in Yangon
The only thing that didn't match the Hotels.com room info was the lack of an in-room safe. This is not standard on the Superior rooms, I was told, but the management did offer to put one into my room if I felt it was needed. I didn't, but I did want to make a note of that because some travelers prefer that convenience for storage of passports and valuables.

Stay here if you're in Yangon
Great little hotel in wonderful Yangon and so good I went back to stay again at the end of my trip. It's not luxury but for a value option in Yangon the room is very very good. Spacious, brilliant AC, fridge, tea and coffee, free water and a shower head that works with hot water (a rarity in Myanmar budget hotels) 2 film channels and even some UK football if that's your thing. The service at this hotel is exceptional and is the best I experienced on my travels. Everyone on reception speaks English well and are very helpful, the bellboy takes your bag in the heat and the doorman are always ready to welcome you and keep an eye on the entrance which adds a level of security... Although Yangon is very safe. The manager booked my train tickets in advance and was so helpful throughout. The hotel is located a 15 minute walk through the lovely bustle of Yangon to sule pagoda and about 45-60 mins walk to Shwedagon. It's breakfast is good and there is a fabulous tea shop next door (yellow coffee signs) - not in the guide books but the most authentic one I encountered on my trip.

Almost every needs can be met but room was dark!
The location of the hotel was great for dining and shopping for your supplying daily beverage and something forget to bring in before Myanmar. And room was cozy and all necessary amenities like electrical pot and refregerator was well prepared and maintained even for the sensetive nation like Japanese. Therefore I believe that this hotel meet almost every tourist's need, not only for business person but also just tourists for pleasure. The only concern for the senior person during my stay was that room was too dark for the business tourist in writing & Internet related work for e-mailing etc.

The hotel is not very central. No real windows in room, but comfortable anyways. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to find information about meditation centers in Yangoon that my daughter was interested in. Had an elevator. Good breakfast.

Excellent staff. Incredibly kind and helpful. Cannot commend them highly enough. Room was extremely clean with two air con units which worked very well. Plenty of charge points for phones and cameras (a problem in some Myanmar hotels). I would certainly stay here again.

Nice hotel, would recommend.
Warm and kind staff, these guys are available around the clock to help answer your questions. Rooms are spacious, some have kitchenettes, with complimentary waters refreshed daily. MK stands for Mya Kyauk for whenever you need to further explain directions to the taxi cab driver. Noton Google Maps yet. Breakfast daily includes traditional Burmese dishes, as well as an assortment of breads, fruits, juices, and eggs cooked to order. Street food stalls and restaurants are a plenty in Yangon and you can find them outside the hotel. A good 20 minute walk to the popular Scott Market. Tackle on another 15/20 mins and you'll find yourself in Chinatown... Food and market heaven and everything else in between. Car traffic blows so I would rather walk. Close and far from everything you want to see or do. So, it is a great location if you have no idea. Paid approximately $50/nt in January/February.

MK hotel was nice, if only they had softer sheets!
Mk is a nice little 3star hotel, quite new. Walls were shiny white tiles and the air conditioner had bright blue lights that reflected off the walls and mirrors, making it hard to sleep. The staff was great. The shower was wonderful. It was very clean with a small fridge, the fixings for the typical Myanmar coffee and tea "mix", a vile substance of sugar, Nescafé or instant tea and "whitener". It was quiet, but the sheets were crispy (polyester???), and pillows were flat and hard. Not very comfortable to me. There was a traditional Myanmar breakfast (with some Nescafé without the mix), and a good assortment of street food outside.

The best hotel I have stayed in Yangon. We brought our own beer to the cafeteria. Without request, the staffs brought us 2 beer glasses and help us to open the beer. After sometime, they served us with a plate of cashew nuts for FREE!!! They kept the room really clean and their staffs are superb friendly! Nearby, many famous food stalls serving great local foods!
