I should note that we stayed here during the heatwave in July 2025 first for context.
The hotel does have quite a 1990s feel to it in the rooms so isn’t particularly modern. The room unfortunately doesn’t have air conditioning so we did struggle to sleep. There was a small fan but it wasn’t particularly powerful and once you get past the torn window netting the window has limited opening so unable to really get any air in.
The shower head needs to be replaced, it clearly has some damage / leakage at the connection as water comes down from the pipe as well as the actual shower head.
I tried the room service ordering system which is WhatsApp, it’s been nearly a week now and I’m still waiting for the reply so this clearly is something that just doesn’t work, good idea though but not very useful if no one answers. Instead I walked five minutes down the road to the Co-op for some quick food and water. I’m aware I could also have ordered at reception, but why should I have to work my way through their varying ways of ordering before I find one that is working.
Breakfast was ok, small selection of food and standard items. I did have to hover around the ‘wait here to be seated’ sign for a few minutes though before I was noticed.
I guess in summary, it’s ok if you just want a bed to sleep in for the night but overall service wasn’t great, rooms are tired, wouldn’t recommend if you wanted a nice break.
First experience of this chain and likely my last.
