Natchez Grand Hotel & Suites on the River

8/10 Good

"The room was great. Plenty of very hot water in the shower. Breakfast was good. Suggest that you start offering decaf coffee as well as regular coffee. The desk staff in the late afternoon/evening shifts were sullen & not that helpful, Looked as if they were tired, bored, or unhappy. The desk staff in the mornings were bright & cheerful. Greeted guests & were delightful. The breakfast staff were also very kind & helpful."

The Myrtles Plantation

10/10 Excellent

"We had the oldest cabin on the property, and we arrived super late—after midnight —and were greeted with grace and kindness. Everyone who works at The Myrtles is friendly and helpful, and the property is very well maintained. Must say it was very charming to awaken in the morning with chickens on our porch and ducks next door to our cabin :) Having raised Rhode Island Reds at our home, we know that breed can be cranky - but the ones at the Myrtles were absolute sweethearts! If you stay overnight, you receive a (small) complimentary breakfast at their restaurant, 1796. The grounds are kept beautiful, and though there were multiple large school groups while we were there, it was still peaceful."
