Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Little touches like free mini figs and free apple juice made our stay feel so special. Staff was excellent and so friendly. Pool was heated and they had a great sandy area nearby so kids could play football. Loved our stay!

Clean room, staff was amazing, pool area was very nice, breakfast was terrific. The kids loved the Lego theme everywhere and they were very excited to find their mini figures on their beds. Walking distance to Legoland but a shuttle is provided. Many dining choices within walking distance. Check in staff was so nice and gave us a lot of information. Our server, Janis, at breakfast was amazing!

I hate to leave one of these reviews, but it's important if you have allergies or sinus issues. I've had friends who stayed here 6 months ago and had no issues, that's also important to note. The rooms were really musty and mold-smelling. I've had issues with mold before, I know that smell. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, they did all they could for us, even trying another room, which has a worse mold smell than the first one. Eventually, we ended up being transferred to the main hotel - pirates cove. We had a great time at the hotel. Legoland is great, I think the beach property needs a little love in terms of the rooms. I would rebook in the main hotel but NOT at the beach retreat. I hope this helps other families make decisions on where to stay!

First time for us. Not the best experience first room was dirty with roaches, we got switched to another room with no AC and mold. After hours we finally got a clean room with AC working. Place is overpriced needs to be updated. 0 stars from me. Never again

This is a child’s dream come true. I only wish it was around when I was little. We felt so safe, they have security on golf carts, life guards, the friendliest staff. We will definitely be back. It is the first time my daughter had independence, she would walk to the restaurant, make me coffee, and bring it to the bungalow. She made friends in other bungalows and they would play in the playground. We loved it.

Le personnel est le gros + de cet hôtel. Ils sont très gentils et courtois. La piscine pour les enfants est super aussi et il y a beaucoup de sauveteurs. Par contre, Le prix ne vaut pas l'endroit. Ce sont de vieux bungalows et il a fait froid lorsque nous y étions et il n'y a pas de chauffage. La climatisation est difficile a régler et nous a rendu malades. A savoir il n'y a pas de réception, première fois que je n'en vois pas pour le check-in, cela se fait comme a une aire d'autoroute. Enfin, si vous voulez essayer une seule nuit suffit! Nous étions avant au Hilton sur la meme rue et avons voulu essayer le Beach Retreat mais le premier était vraiment mieux.

We didn't actually stay at the Beach Retreat. It was closed (?) and no one even notified us of this, which was highly irritating. Thankfully they put us in a room in the hotel, which usually would have been more expensive, so it worked out. Having seen how far the beach retreat is from the hotel and park though, I wouldn't book it again.

The property is clean and well maintained. The room is beautiful and updated. The breakfast is good. The ssrvice is OK. No a lot of things to do beside the pool area. I wish it would have had a legos playing area, like the hotel has in the lobby.
