"We travel extensively but rarely leave reviews. This property is one that requires a comment. It is simply awesome. They were quite helpful with working around our schedule. The villas themselves are fabulous. We either made dinner at home with the well stocked kitchen or drove to eat out (walking to the nearby resort is an option), this would be the only downside if you didn't have a car."

"This is one of the most unique properties we have ever stayed in. Snuggled against the lush mountain side with a spectacular view of the lagoon, the Vanira Lodge is a must if in the Teahupoo area. We stayed here in 2015 and it was magical. We were so excited to be back and it was just as magical as the first time. Merci!"

"The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well.
