"This was my husband and I’s second stay at the Hilton Lagoon Spa in Moorea and it’s safe to say we would come back for a third visit! We had such a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful stay here. We booked a premium panoramic view overwater bungalow and enjoyed 12 days of the most incredible view and waters. We’re avid snorkelers and divers, so being able to snorkel right from our room is incredible! Despite the declining state of corals worldwide, there were a lot of beautiful and healthy corals on the property housing plenty of different fish, eels, mussels, anemones, etc. We saw things like clownfish, triggerfish, damselfish, moray eels, and so much more. It’s also very safe for beginners and children, just respect the coral and always give the triggerfish space! The staff here are lovely as well and it was pleasant to get to know them. Food is on the pricier side averaging $25-$40 a dish per room service and $50pp for the breakfast buffet, however it’s to be expected on a fairly remote island where food and commodities aren’t going to be as easily accessible. A taxi to the local grocery store for snacks is a great solution if you’re looking for cheaper food alternatives. Overall this has been one of our favorite places to stay and we will definitely be back!"

"Clean room and comfy beds. I left my phone in the taxi with my credit card on the back and the staff member went the extra mile and was able to track the taxi down and get it returned. Will definitely be back. A+++++"

"This is a beautiful transit hotel, meaning it is not a destination but a wonderful place to recover from long travel before moving on to the more sedate and glamorous islands of French Polynesia. The pool is as great as any resort I have visited, and I travel a lot. The rooms are huge. The staff is friendly from check in to check out. The connection to the mall via a direct bridge from The Hilton lobby is a huge plus. There is a wonderful French bakery in the mall within a five minute walk from the lobby. There is a grocery store and pharmacy and food court there as well. Also a nice, casual French restaurant. The Hilton’s drink and dining options are varied, but the prices are quite high, as expected, so the mall offers alternatives. We did find the Hilton’s Japanese restaurant to offer extraordinary sushi, albeit in a rather bland setting with staggering costs. You get what you pay for. In summary, I would stay here for a night or two before moving on to other islands or a cruise. The cost from the airport is about $20 US, and to the cruise port about the same. Again, the pool is a healer after extended travel."
