Beautiful home, comfortable, spacious room, warm duvet, clean bathroom and breakfasts that brought sunshine to my son. Highly recommended, we were reluctant to leave.
Such an honour to stay in a grade II listed Queen Anne house just up the hill from the centre of Winchester. Being a former resident of Winchester, I would often cycle past this house as a teenager, little knowing the charm, warmth, peace and comfort that sat behind the beguiling façade. The house, situated partway up Blue Ball Hill, overlooks Winchester with stunning views of the Cathedral and the surroundings.
Such a warm welcome on a cold March day, not only by Nick and Dotty’s son, but also by a warm house! (A British March was a bit of a shock from Singapore). Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and peaceful; as my son said, it allowed us to both have our own space. We overlooked the garden and enjoyed the peace and calm of our refuge at the end of each busy day.
Such a treat to have breakfast around a large farmhouse table in the spacious kitchen, warmed by an Aga. We were never alone, and our breakfast time was a highlight getting to know the Bengal bros (cats), chatting with our fellow guests, and watching the live feed of the Winchester Cathedral peregrines that had just started nesting.
Thank you, Dotty, Nick, Ben and Fred for making our stay just special.
