"Horrendous smell. Foul drains and the kitchen may have been frying in my room the smell was that strong. The walls are paper thin, if someone runs a tap the noise is piercing. Hotel is not manned most of the time. You are given an emergency number on a key ring which is not legible. I had to sleep with my nose covered because the smell was that bad. Staff were unhelpful on checkout. Expedia couldn’t get in touch with the hotel so fobbed me off. Never again"

"Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend."

"The room was spacious, and provides was a complimentary breakfast and beverages to drink. The ensuite is a nice large size. Car parking can be a bit of a squeeze if there are guests with cars staying in all of the flats. There was good friendly communication with the owner most of the time. The WiFi was working, but for some reason not the smart TV. Maybe a previous guest messed it up. The house is on a good bus route, with a stop across the road and regular buses into Derby city...
