"This is NOT a hotel but an unmanned hostel. My code to the front door did not work. I found a groundskeeper who was rude and told me it was my fault. (I know how keypads work!). Because I could not get my code to unlock the door I could not leave to go get dinner in fear of not being able to get back in. "This hotel is in a beautiful area along a river outside of Malung, but the rooms are small and not particularly comfortable. It is a rustic property rather than a comfortable hotel. On the other hand, if one is looking for an adequate place to stay for a couple days at a very reasonable price, then this could be the right place. We hosted a dinner for 9 relatives in the dining room while staying here, and we were very happy with the food. Service is slow because there is limited staff, but we just wanted to spend time together so that was not a problem. For the quality of the food, the price was very reasonable. Breakfast is served in the same dining area, which includes a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and it was fine. We asked about doing laundry while we were there, and one of the staff members did laundry for us for a reasonable charge. "
