We had a fantastic stay at the Alpenrose Hotel and Gardens! The location is wonderfully convenient—just a short, easy walk to both the bus and train stations, making it a breeze to visit Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. While the property is housed in an older building, it is clean and fully functional. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice--letting us chill in the dining room and making it super easy to reserve and enjoy the hot tub. The absolute highlight was breakfast, which offered incredible variety. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Combined with the gorgeous gardens and stunning views, I would highly recommend this hotel if you would like an affordable, clean, and convenient stay! Especially since hotels directly in Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are way more expensive.

This is an old hotel. The room we stayed in was very small. The floor was notably angled. (Place a marble on the floor, and it will roll itself to the other side of the room.) Oddly enough, the water pressure of the bathroom sink was low, but the water pressure in the shower was fine. 🤔💭 On the plus side,... The view from our room was absolutely gorgeous! It overlooked the hotel garden and had a majestic view of the Swiss Alps. Patrons also have the option of reserving some time in their relaxing hot-tub. As for their breakfast,... They offered a good selection of various foods.

All the upper rooms have beautiful mountain views. The public rooms are very nicely decorated with traditional alpine themes. The attached restaurant was very good. All the staff were very friendly.

Lovely old European Hotel

Great location for convenience and views. We liked the restaurant too. Try the bobotie. Fantastic staff. Be sure to dine outside if the weather allows. We loved the included breakfast for the view and choices.

Lovely getaway!

This hotel was just perfect for our needs! Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, absolutely breathtaking setting and views, fantastic breakfast, and excellent accessibility to trains. I couldn't wait to relax with a book in the garden at the end of the day! Shout out to Pascal, for his cheerful and helpful assistance! We also enjoyed the restaurant next door.

We loved the location. The view from our window is unforgettable! We lived the staff and how helpful they were. The breakfast is top notch. We didn’t mind that there was no elevator. The service made up for what is lacking.

We had the best view. We love this place. It’s perfect for us. We love the country, fresh air and nice people. We found it all here. It’s a few meters from the train station. If if you don’t mind not having an elevator this will be perfect for you too.

I was chek in different rooms than reserved rooms. Down grading. Owner is not apologizing mention and not returned down grading rooms price money. Very unpleasant. Also, front desk staff is very rude & very angly. All times during celluer phone check-in & droped the room key. She is racism. Our rooms reserved mountain deluxe rooms. But, changed small rooms.

في قلب الطبيعة

القرية هادئة تبعد عن انترلاكن 5 دقائق بالسيارة .. الموظفين ودودين للغاية وحجزنا كان مع افطار وكان جيد .. هناك حديقة خلفية بها انواع كثيرة من الفاكهة والخضروات .. المواقف امام الفندق مجانية .. الغرفة جيدة ولكن لا يوجد تكييف ولا يوجد ثلاجة .. اعجبني اطلالة الغرفة على الجبل

Nice hitel in peaceful environment

Nice hotel with frienly staff. Room with balkony with mountain view. The onky thing that bothered me was that the waste sorting was not organised in room.
