Hotel Dekat Wilderness at the Smokies

"This hotel sits right on the main road and across the street from a busy heliport. The noise is loud and persistent. The pool areas were very nice but the plastic chairs and loungers need a good cleaning. Shade is limited around the outdoor water features. My room was supposed to accomodate four with one king bed and a pull out sofa. Bed was nice. Sofa was not. It is very low to the ground meaning this old lady could not get up and down from it without help. Also, it is just a 2 seater and it is...

"This place could really use some updating. The slider in our room wouldn't lock and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The paint was pealing throughout and the ceiling was really dirty. The positive note was the beds were comfortable and the sheets looked and smelled clean."

"Jazzy was very sweet and made check in easy. Breakfast was great with many options. We enjoyed the swimming area. Our only complaint was the bathroom. There was a cracked tile that was exactly where you had to walk through the bathroom and our shower needed to seriously be clean due to the red slim on the floor and build up on the side of the shower. Staff was notified of this upon checkout. I was told that the tile was getting fixed after we checked out and nothing was said about the bathroom."

"Beautiful hotel with the most exquisite Christmas decorations. We enjoyed going to each floor to see the different displays. The pool was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable."

"Overall, we were satisfied and very satisfied with breakfast. It was lovely. The beds were clean, lobby clean etc. The only questionable thing was our bathroom wasn’t 100% very usable but only because we had wipes to clean it with…… we’re talking to hairs and dust along the edges of the bathroom and things that make you question the other part. I wouldn’t not stay here again because of it, but it was a bit disappointing."
