"We stayed in one of the feature rooms, the carpet was in areas threadbare, which I have never had in a nice hotel before) and behind the sofa the was dirt which had collected there for quite a while and that was threadbare as well, the room could do with a bit of a makeover and freshener up in the bathroom as there was black mold on shower door and tiles. Otherwise a lovely stay."

"Reception staff were lovely and the check in was simple and easy. Really good price for the quality of rooms. Only issue I had was woken up a few times in the night due to people walking above. Footsteps tended to echo quite loudly. Possibly needs better soundproofing. All in all would definitely come back again if in the area "

"Have stayed here before, it is convenient for us as our son lives in the village the room we stayed was small.The price we paid for the room which was cheaper than the last time, we thought was right for the room. First time we have tried breakfast here it was excellent, could not fault it.The lady who served us was very pleasant. Still think the rooms could do with brightening up."

"The rooms were spacious, charmingly decorated, and clean. The staff could not do enough for us, even postponing a scheduled fire drill because we told the breakfast staff I was planning on taking a jet lag nap before going out to explore the countryside. Meals were absolutely delicious with a great take on traditional favourites. A must stay!"

"Clean comfortable room with individually operated heater and useful kitchen area. (Microwave , fridge/freezer, kettle). Comfy bed and quiet at night. Nice shower room with towels provided and the added touch of tea, coffee etc and hand soap and shower gel in bathroom. TV always a plus. Overall clean and comfortable and very close to town centre. "
