"I would give this place 100 stars if I could. What a fabulous, beautiful oasis! Reality of the pools and gardens, breakfast, food and dining area, service, architecture and room comfort were superior to photos and reviews. I truly cannot express how much I enjoyed Hongkhao Village. Service was exemplary. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, and I looked forward to it everyday. Pool and gardens, patios and balconies were magical. Especially at night. A terrific place to stay. I will be back."

"The staff is extremely kind, friendly and helpful. They truly made staying here memorable! The condition of the property was good, not great because the bathroom exhaust fan kept blowing out greyish black debris, the mounted indoor AC system would occasionally drip water-(perhaps condensation) on the floor and the hand towel rack was barely handing on. The common areas were well kept and clean. Beautiful scenery out back."

"Great hotel for the price. Very clean, rooms a good size and staff very friendly. There is no restaurant but there is free toast and coffee at breakfast time. Nice coffee shop at the front of the hotel, the location is a good 30 minutes walk from old town but lots of cafe and restaurants on the way. For the price paid it was excellent."

"I had a fantastic stay at Sheik Istana Hotel and can’t say enough good things! The hotel was conveniently located close to the airport, and the amenities were amazing. Rooms were clean, air conditioning was excellent and beds were very comfortable. But more than anything, the customer service and amazing kindness of the staff was unparalleled. Despite check in hours ending at 10 PM, when I messaged asking what I should do if my 9 PM flight was delayed, the staff generously said that they would...

"What's not to like about this place except that it can be noisy at times. It's near the airport and people are often staying to do tours and can be a bit loud throughout the night. The walls aren't the thickest, but there are signs that notify guests to keep quiet, because the hotel is mostly teek wood. It's very cool looking and makes for awesome photos, but sound travels a bit. If you're really picky I'd bring earplugs, or just get used to it. Great value for the price, honestly. "
