"Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. "

"All very good except for Saturday night when there was live entertainment below us, not informed of this. Staff offered another room but didn’t want to change as it was late and we were tired. Breakfast served by a lovely lady so friendly. Room very good. Staff great . Thank you "

"This is an excellent hotel/inn. Very convenient for the local wedding venues, especially convenient for Coltsfoot Retreat. The rooms are very comfortable and cosy, they are tastefully decorated and finished to a high standard. The breakfast is excellent, very generous, well prepared and presented, exactly what is needed the morning after the night before. "

"The check in was easy and the team are friendly. My room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed. I ate in the evening and also had breakfast. Everything was tasty and well cooked. I would stay here again if in the area - the bar is very nice, oak beams and a good atmosphere."

"Great welcome at check in, smooth process. We stayed in one of the four poster rooms (room one) which was stunning. High ceilings, light from the many windows, spotless and very spacious with a lovely roll top bath. We ate dinner in the orangery, where the menu was small but the food was good. Breakfast was hot and of a good standard. Would definitely stay again."
