"We stayed just 2 nights before we left for another part of Iceland. We arrived very early at 8 am due to an early arriving flight and we were able to get early check in which was very helpful! The hotel was in a good location at the end of the main shopping, bars, and restaurants area in Reykjavik so it was very convenient. The room was small, but clean and the bed was comfortable. Our view unfortunately was of the parking lot and other buildings so if you want a room with a better view ensure you ask for that as the other side of the building faces the water. It was a perfectly good hotel and room and the price was affordable for us. We had the breakfast twice and it had a good selection of foods and the food was tasty."

"Hotel Alda was the perfect location for my first trip to Iceland. Extremely close to any bus stop for pick up/drop off tours. Plenty of restaurants around and stores around. The hotel was very accommodating and the room was great!"

"The Reykjavik Residence 2 bedroom apartment exceeded my expectations. The apartment was clean, great layout, had everything we could need, in a great location and a fair price. When we go back to Iceland I would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great home base for our travels!"

"Thor at the front desk was so kind and helpful. We were upgraded during our first night. Then when we returned after the 8 day tour, he allowed us to stay on same room during the remaining 4 nights. He also stored our 2 regular luggage so we don’t have to carry them on our tour. The room is perfect for the 3 of us. It was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast has lots of delicious selections. Excellent location and very nice staff. I would stay in this hotel again. Highly recommended!"

"Staff were helpful, friendly and polite. The location of this hotel is excellent for exploring on foot. The rooms require a little updating, beds were firm, curtains don't block out the light (long daylight hours) and no fridges in rooms."
