"The rooms were very clean, everything is well organized. Johan and Gaby are huge huge huge help in everything you need there. They are hands on, and very attentive. Neighborhood is safe, views are amazing and the food was delicious. Dinner there is fun and easy. The breakfast with the view is so cool. I recommend 100%. Stray dogs bark randomly at night for about 10 mins and usually calm down but it could wake you up."

The complex was quite difficult to find even with the provided instructions, we only found it because a local showed us the route. "The lovely Hotel Villa Santa Catarina is Guatemalan-owned. Beautiful two pools, great view of the lake, and a short tuk-tuk ride to Panajachel. The restaurant on site is fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Room was spacious - no A/C, but not a problem with the cool lake breeze at night."
