La Quinta Inn in Long Branch, New Jersey, is conveniently located, about 12 minutes by car from the Long Branch train station. It sits right off Highway 36, making it easy to access convenience stores, gas stations, and other nearby essentials.
The hotel appears quite clean overall, and the rooms and bathrooms are spotless. The beds are comfortable and spacious, which makes it a good place to stay for a couple of nights. Each bed comes with three pillows, but they are all soft, so if you prefer a firmer pillow, it may be a good idea to bring your own. The room also includes a coffee maker and a mini refrigerator, which adds to the convenience.
The staff is very polite and attentive. Some of them seem to be new, so the check-in process is not always as fast as it could be, but they are extremely kind and helpful.
Breakfast is offered in the morning, apparently from either 6:00 to 9:00 or 6:30 to 9:00, but once certain items run out, they are not easily replenished. It seems that the quantity of food provided is not really sufficient for the number of guests staying at the hotel. Coffee is also offered in the morning, but it tends to run out quickly and can be difficult to find afterward.
One downside is that there is sometimes a noticeable smell of marijuana in the hallways, and the staff does not seem to do much to prevent it. This is despite the fact that the hotel charges high penalties for smoking inside the rooms. Fortunately, that smell never reached my room. Because
