The James Hotel Rotterdam

10/10 Excellent

"Our room was fairly clean, but we did notice some nut shells on the floor by the bed when we arrived in the room. We thought it would be cleaned but by day 4, it was still there, which means that the cleaning didn't involve the floor. This could be improved. Everything in the room was in good condition. Air conditioning was great as it was rather hot weather in July. One thing which can't be helped by the hotel, is the traffic noise sometimes with car racing or hooting in the middle of the night."

Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station by IHG

8/10 Good

"Proximity to Central Station was definitely a plus, around a 5 minute walk, and the hotel was good for access to the city centre, and no more than a 45 minutes walk to the sights. The room was fine, and the staff were friendly on check in, and at breakfast. They did have a varied choice of UK TV which makes a change from other places we've stayed. Sadly, the breakfast was the same every day, and standard fare, which was a bit disappointing. Overall 7/10"

ss Rotterdam Hotel & Restaurants

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed one night on the ss Rotterdam with 2 kids (16 and 12). Both liked the experience and the water taxi to the MarketHall. Nice change from a standard hotel. The pool unfortunately was closed and the dinner service at Lido (on board restaurant), was fully booked so we ended up at the bar and ate snacks which worked well. There was enough selection that even the pickiest eaters found something. Did not get a chance for the tour but would like to do it in the future. Would recommend staying here."

"We loved our stay. It was clean, staff very nice and loved the views from our room. It was easy to get to with the metro and tram line both right at the hotel. Loved the area, park, small grocery store, restaurants and walking area. Most of all, it was the easiest walk to the cruise terminal. I will be recommending this hotel to my clients as well. Would definitely stay again."
