The lakeside rooms in this hotel offer some of the best views of Lake Lucerne - I could never tire of that view.
It was an incredible stay. Very clean, great breakfasts, so peaceful and quiet and the staff were very friendly and wonderfully helpful! If they were nearby, we didn't even have to open a door!
Everything about this charming hotel is wonderful. Built in 1883. Do you feel like you’ve stepped back in time to enjoy an exclusive hotel by the lake. We had breakfast and dinner there, both were delicious.
Everything about this hotel is supurb. Will definitely return. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Easy access to Lucern via public transportation and ferry. Very safe and good staff. Enjoyed our stay. And the views from the room are exceptional.
- Stayed there for a nite. Staffs were friendly.
- Decent room, most properties in Swiss are bit old, this is no different...
- Room size average.
- Very close to the lake.
Situated bang on the lake with great views from the restaurant / terrace. Some parking on site.
Rooms a good size.
The nearby church bell is quite loud.
Very good breakfast, and for Switzerland good value.
This was the best stay among all of our trips across Europe. The staff is friendly and the hotel is great!! I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Mount Rigi was a short walk behind the hotel and the ferry to Lucerne was right down the road. Didn't have to drive the entire time we were there.
The staff were wonderful and very helpful! We absolutely love the location. Very quiet with an amazing view and close to what we wanted to do. We will definitely be staying there next time we visit and our stay will be longer.
The staff was very helpful with arrangements for travel and the town was easy to get around. We went up Mt Rigis and it was spectacular.Kris was very busy but took time for us.
this is the second time to stay here, everything is so good room, staff and location except breakfast for my opinion it is not variety as before Covid 19
Great place to stay when visiting the Luzern area*.
Weggis is a charming village & the hotel modern, comfortable, well-equipped rooms - and lakefront!
Recommended!
*Luzern is a prime destination, the prices in town-centre hotels can reflect that (especially their CHF20+ parking!)
Better to stay nearby & use the charming lake-steamers from Weggis to visit Luzern?
Very wonderful place and I will stay again. This feedback is only explaining why 4 stars instead of 5 of 5. Only things preventing highest rating— 1) exterior incredible but interior not new; 2) outdoor propane fireplace out of gas and they were unaware (the patio should be their top selling point! even in winter; 3) Very kind staff and willing to be helpful, but not as knowledgeable as could have been on family discounts for the highest rating. For example, they were unaware of a Weggis ‘Tuesday’s’ special discount on the trains/cable cars that I serendipitously discovered online. They helped me research the details after my discovery and recommended it. However, I decided to just ask about it at the cable station and it turned out they had an even less costly ‘family’ special which was further for a half day. If they knew those details, I would have rated highest.
A room on the 4th floor with lake view, only one chair and two ladies staying. No daily meal menu, one expensive menu only. Breakfast excellent, and excellent staff. I booked an extra night to make our stay more enjoyable, , expensive, But worth it. Plenty to do in the area.
