"I was visiting John Muir Woods, which is north of San Francisco and used Expedia to search for a hotel. When the “John Muir Lodge” was suggested by Expedia I booked it.
But …
The “John Muir Lodge” suggested by Expedia is 260 miles away from the John Muir Woods. Granted, it’s my own fault for not being more careful but SOMEONE AT EXPEDIA should apply some common sense to their suggestions. "
"We did not have breakfast on the site, but the room is clean, roomy, have microwave, plenty of towel, quiet and serene outlook, the bed is clean and soft to sleep in."
"I made my reservation over 6 months ago and when I checked in, the owner said there was no room available for me and he transferred me to his partner property, which is over 10mins away from river inn and literally at the edge of the town. I have been staying for two nights and already paid in full, but the second day my key didn’t work and the receptionist at the front desk couldn’t find my information in her computer. My information was logged in by the owner of River Inn during check-in and apparently there was no proper communication between them. "
"Shower drain had hair in it. Carpet tack strip with the nails was exposed on the floor in front of the bathroom. Surfaces were dusty. We chose this place based on the location but will not be returning."
