"Very easy check in, staff was very courteous and professional. The room was very well stocked . We only stayed one night and did not get to use the amenities. Grounds were lovely."

"The staff at check-in was not very friendly and seemed indifferent. Upon entering your room, a slight odor of stale cigarette smoke was noticeable. The room appeared clean, but the bathroom shower needs a thorough cleaning, as rust and mildew have gathered around the bottom. When the air conditioner turned on, it was extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep at night. Overall, the property needs some serious cleaning and maintenance."

"I am very disappointed with my experience at Wyndham Rochester Downtown. We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 p.m., even though check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 p.m. When we arrived, we were told that our room was not ready and were asked to wait about 30–40 minutes. We were also promised that we would receive a call when the room was ready. After waiting for two hours without receiving any call, we went back to the reception desk. There was a long line, and only one receptionist was working. Our room was finally ready, but when we asked why we had not been called as promised, the receptionist refused to answer. She did not apologize or offer any explanation. I am not even talking about compensation. We were not offered anything, not even a bottle of water. We paid for the room but were unable to use it for several hours after the official check-in time. When we finally got to the room, there were no towels, and the sink was blocked. The next morning, there was again a long line at reception with only one receptionist working. After all of these issues, we still did not receive even a simple apology. Overall, we were very disappointed with the service, the lack of communication, and the condition of the room."

"I will never book with this property ever again. I saw a No Vacancy sign upon arrival. I just assumed I was already included. As to why there was no vacancy. I found out my reservation was cancelled. It was not by me. I had to reach out to hotels.com for a refund that I have yet to receive. There was a line of others ahead of me experiencing the same issue"
