"On arrival staff were very welcoming. We were able to check in a little earlier and shown to our room and given all the info we needed for our stay. Quirky little pub with entrance to our room up a little staircase through the kitchen area. Stairs maybe a little tricky for some as they are quite steep. "The sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the shower head and toilet bowl were dirty. Both these things ought to be spotless in a hotel, if they have cleaners then they are not doing their job properly!! The room was set for one person when the booking stated 2. We asked for another mug but didn’t realise about just one large towel until we had a shower and at that point just shared as unable to contact the desk unless we walked over to them. "We stayed in this property for 5 days (December 11 to 16). On checking out, we asked for the total fee for our parking our vehicle for the 5 nights. We were told it costs £8 a night and to pay using the machine at the gate. We did. We paid £40 for the 5 nights. We got home, and received a £60 "fine" for parking at this hotel, even though we paid, we have the receipt and it shows in our credit card.
