"The rooms had not been deep cleaned in a long time, massive build-up of dust and dirt in many corners and around showers etc. It appears the cleaners are not given enough time to actually make sure rooms are clean. Was told they had 1 cleaner on for 20 rooms. The first room I had smelled damp and was not pleasant to be in. The hotel did rectify this for the next two nights with a room change. Breakfast is only available from 8.30 which is way too late for most business travellers and reception only manned from 8am till 6pm. Receipts are not forthcoming and you have to chase to get them. Again, not great for the business traveller."

"Our stay at Double Tree by Hilton in Wellington, NZ was Fantastic! From the staff service to the quality of the room, amenites and the lovely restaurant for our daily breakfasts and dinners. We cannot fault this Hotel. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay super special. A special 'thank you' to Inder & his colleagues in the restaurant as well as the reception crew - all very supportive, with a special touch. "Worst location I have ever chosen. Definitely not suitable for senior visitors, But good if you are young and like hill trekking Don’t believe the interior pics- they were taken with a with a very wide angle camera lens. Economising by using slow reacting sensor lights in public passages is an extreme cost saving measure. No -I don’t recommend this hotel at any price."

"The location was very convenient! It was quite noisy at night even with windows are closed but expected for its location. The room was clean with all expected amenities listed. Easy to walk around to near by restaurants and bars. There is paid parking near the front of the building during the day which is free overnights but no parking on the premises. We did enjoy our stay here overall!"

"A great location with fantastic and helpful staff, really comfortable bed, let down by the lack of maintenance for the room. The room itself was clean. Bit basic and lacking things like air conditioning and phone charge inputs that some other hotels have. The bathroom was another story. Mould on the grouting, dated, peeling paint, no extractor fan (although you could open a window) and having to step into the shower (which was quite dark) was a bit weird. Would I stay again? Yes but only for a night and only because of location and comfortable bed."
