"Great stay. I do think for the price they could either upgrade the TVs or the furniture, if not both. At least for the suites anyways. Had a 10 day stay, they are supposed to come do housekeeping once after day 3 but never did. But we’re friendly when calling and asking for extra garbage bags or toilet paper. In room laundry is an awesome amenity for a long stay. On day 7 of 10 they did try to charge my card for my checkout balance without giving me a heads up and were kinda cranky when it was declined because of my safeguards and them not giving the heads up. And the charge Expedia said was due upon arrival was what they charged at the end. They only do temp hold for incidentals at check in. The restaurant had awesome food, we didn’t use the onsite pools since we explored and went to other beaches. Something to consider if you are an explorer. The place is fancy but old school. It’s pretty awesome."
Hilton Grand Vacations Club Maui Bay Villas

"We stayed at the Hilton for three nights after initially staying in Kaanapali. We chose to stay here for the proximity to sites like the Road to Hana and the volcano. The property is currently undergoing construction to expand. We were initially placed in a room that overlooked the construction site, not what we were expecting on our relaxing vacation. We were able to switch rooms the next day and the staff there were wonderful to help facilitate that. The staff were all extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. The first room was very clean, but the shower in our second room had hair in the drain and on the shower handle. We did like the room itself and it was nice to have a kitchen but we felt the room was noisy and didn’t offer much privacy to our neighbors. The rest of the property was nicely maintained. Our two children loved the pool and the waterslide. However, the view of the ocean is lacking and you have to walk across the street for beach access. We did like the proximity to Kihei and Wailea. Overall, we left feeling a little underwhelmed with our stay."
Grand Wailea Maui, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

"The Grand Wailea is more than grand! You will not regret going there, unless you are a constantly angry, miserable soul. Even then, I believe the Grand Wailea can sweep those miseries away. Is it expensive, yes. Is it worth it, absolutely."
