"The suite we stayed in was fantastic. It had two bedrooms and a kitchen and sitting area. It also had two roomy sections of outdoor patio. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a nice little bar at the swimming pool.the only thing it could do better was the pool could use some repairs and a good cleaning."

"We were only there for one night but were especially impressed with how clean the room/property was. We enjoyed the dinner buffet and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. "Our first visit to Elounda Mare was in May 1987, and returning again in May 2026 felt like reconnecting with an old friend. The hotel still retains its unique charm, elegance and warm hospitality that made us fall in love with it all those years ago. "This is a comfortable hotel. A bit pricey for what it offers. The pool needs more attention in terms of cleaning. I went towards the end of season but this is no excuse for a five star hotel not to be on top of everything."
