"This is by a very long mile the worst hotel I have stayed in and I have been to some places. To start - our the bathroom reeked of septic gas, by night time, it had engulfed the entire room. I was going to ask for a room change for this reason but when cleaning came around next morning, it was clear the other rooms had the same issue. The entire corridor was filled with septic odour, it wasn’t even worth bringing up. The only possible explanation is a backwater valve had not being installed to the septic tank and the bath and WC shared the same plumbing. Considering the above, everything else that followed pales in comparison. Our room was facing the main street and it had zero sound proofing so you could literally hear people chatting outside in the morning and every car go by in the night. I asked for a room change on this basis as between this a the sewer odour we had managed no sleep after and 6 hour flight - we were told with no pretence of empathy there was no room change option available. I cannot comment on the breakfast option as we have little appetite after inhaling septic gas all night. The only redemption was getting my wallet back after I had forgotten it at the hotel. When I called the hotel, they confirmed they had it and I returned to pick it up."

"Clean room. My only concern was the check-in: We arrived on a Sunday and I think we were the only ones in the building. A staff person was supposed to open the door remotely but did not buzz us into the building at the confirmed arrival time. Otherwise, the room and amenities were lovely and we received great tips on where to eat and visit."

"Room was clean but shower leaked. Informed staff, maintenence fellow came by right away and after looking at it said he jad to order a part. We went a week with the shower flooding the floor. It wasn't fixed while we were there.Otherwise everything was fine. Location isn't by a lot of shops but within a good walking distance. "

"We really appreciated the ability to check in at 10:30 am. After a very long flight we needed to rest and was able to do that. However, there was no one at the property in a morning and there was no breakfast for us and it was very important since I travelled with a child. We didn’t know how to check out, so we left the key and left the property. I’m still puzzled about of the idea of bed and breakfast that has no breakfast. "

"I have very mixed opinions on this hotel. Some things were great : Location less than 4 min walk from the train station. Close to many areas and only 30 mins walk to port. Room size was comfortable for one person. Shower was excellent with lovely toiletries. You have lots of options at breakfast. Food is of a high quality and staff welcoming and helpful. The following would have made my stay more comfortable given I was there for 4 nights One complementary bottle of water Access to coffee / tea making facilities in room or reception Wine available in minibar Tissues available in bathroom However my main complaint was the heat. The room was extremely warm. You can’t control the temperature well in your own room. I woke up a lot due to being too hot. It was too noisy to keep my window open as I was overlooking a busy street. I did open it periodically. I enjoyed my stay here and while I have listed 4 small suggested changes my main reason for not giving 5 stars is the room temperature. "

"Friendly and very helpful staff. Newly renovated rooms. Minibar was stocked and free of charge with wonderful selection of water, drinks and snacks. Breakfast buffet had a nice variety. "
