La Quinta is close to Pinhao, were we took a boat to navigate through the Douro with the most relaxing time. The Museu Coa is in the area and worth visiting. "we arrived and the hotel was closed with no response to our knocking at the entranc,totally deserted!! A neighbor told us it has been closed down . We had to drive a while in the dark to find a hotel for the night in another town. Very frustrating !!"

"Casa da Real Companhia was not what we expected, in any kind of way. Considering the fact that we stayed at a lot of local b&bs in the neighboring area, this was by far the worst experience. Their pictures does not capture the reality of the hotel and it’s location to the nearby surroundings. It is at the foot of very large apartment-building complexes.
