Pro: location, free breakfast, pool with a view. Con: dated facilitates, uncomfortable bed (I can feel every spring) and thin walls (every day we can hear kids screaming, thumping, talking, running)

We were told there was no air conditioning within the hotel but a/c was on @ breakfast but not in the rooms. Place is run down some rooms need a candle to see in the bathroom. Recommend 2nd floor if you may have difficulities lifting luggage up flight of stairs.

Überaus freundliches Personal. Frühstückspersonal sehr bemüht - es war auch für jeden etwas dabei. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Pool mit grandioser Aussicht auf das Meer.

Stayed 8 nights here. Very relaxing

Excellent central location very convenient for exploring the island. Very relaxing laid back vibe. Easy walking to local village and located right next to the marina for renting kayaks, scuba diving, and boat trips. WiFi in public areas. Hotel desk arranged for a rental car which was dropped off at the front and picked up - very easy and convenient.

Não me posso queixar, porque os empregados do hotel foram 5 estrelas e super disponíveis. O quarto onde fiquei, precisa de uma reforma, via se nitidamente que houve uma infiltração no quarto por cima do nosso, a torneira do lavabo quase não corria agua de resto camas confortáveis. O pequeno almoço bom mas pouca variedade. E com muita pena nossa a piscina não têm manutenção, suja e agua a desaparecer de dia para dia, e a porta que da para a praia fecho estragado e nunca arranjado!!! O hotel precisa de uns pequenos arranjos mas a simpatia do pessoal superou isso tudo, passamos 8 dias maravilhos😀

My worst hotel experience ever

Easily my worst hotel experience. The A/C in our room did not work, displayed the "fix me" sign. At the reception I was told that the A/C does not work in the entire hotel, not even in the reception and that they have been trying to fix it for a month. Plus if you leave the balcony door open to get any air in now that the A/C does not work, you may get robbed as anybody from the street can enter your balcony. See photos with warning on balcony door. Our room is extremely loud as our wall literally connects to the steep street with lots of traffic (see photos). Plus we face the marina with some heavy night life. The beds are ridiculous. We had the worst kind of old spring mattresses that just drill all the wires into your skin. Last but not least, there are cockroaches in the hotel, and not the small kind (see photo). So I go to the reception after the horrible, hot, loud night to tell her about the cockroaches in our room and they tell me: "There are cockroaches in the entire hotel, especially when you leave your balcony door open." What? First they tell me to keep my balcony door open as the A/C does not work, and then in the morning they tell me this allows the cockroaches in? This hotel was pretty bad and most of the problems are clearly the hotel's faults. Additionally, the staff's attitude was miserable. So, very frustrated, we left right in the morning after the first night, although we booked two nights here.

personnel très aimable

L'hôtel n'est franchement pas beau et gâche le paysage de cette charmante petite ville. Les équipements sont un peu vétustes mais le personnel est très aimable et les services sont bons. L'hôtellerie des Açores n'est pas encore au niveau du contient ou de Madère. Mais cela est largement compensé par l'excellente éducation et la gentillesse naturelle de ces portugais des Açores. Toujours disponibles pour rendre un service.

Very bad smell

The hotel was dirty and smelled bad. We had booked for 2 weeks and did not stay 1 night because the place was filthy. The showed us 3 rooms and it was all the same. Very disapointing.
