"Great location, right off the square to avoid crowds. Gondola is organized by front staff for you and comes right to hotel so you avoid the lines. Breakfast was excellent. Bar was staffed by professional bartender. Would easily stay there again! (Donnylo at the front counter was exceptional)"
"I guess i didn't do my research for the property very well before arriving. My reservation was a little misleading and I thought we could park at the hotel and when I called them the person I spoke to was not very helpful in explaining that if I was driving I would have to park near the bus station and walk to the hotel. It took us 3 hours of driving in circles until I finally googled the information and parked in a garage that was ridiculously expensive 45Euros per day. They told me at the hotel that I would get 10% off that price but when I picked up my car they charged me full price. The walk to the hotel was about 2km. We could have taken a boat taxi for another ridiculous amount! The breakfast was great and the room was very nice."
"The staff here were amazing. Friendly and helpful with bags and transportation.
Room was clean. And it was nice to have the hotel so close to the train station.
Will say breakfast was a little lacking but overall great stay."
"We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Monte Carlo, and had to make multiple reservations due to airline cancellations (on UA’s part). We fortunately booked the last room for one night, which was smaller than the other nights’ stay and were concerned we would have to change rooms and pay more—yet, thanks to the very accommodating staff, neither occurred. Additionally, the helpful staff arranged for a private taxi to the port of Fusina to embark on our Viking cruise. The transport was convenient, quick, and while expensive, well worth the over $200 to save us from lugging suitcases through the myriad streets and bridges of Venice and the multiple means of transport to arrive at this industrial port (Miguel even helped with our luggage to a nearby canal).
Additionally, the location is perfect, 2 blocks from St Mark’s, the Doge’s Palace, the Square and the wonderful (yet costly) cafes that line the Square. Yet, the narrow street was far enough away so that our room was quiet and peaceful-and after a long day of sightseeing, appreciated.
Although our room was tiny, it was impeccably clean, with small touches that made our stay delightful.
We never partook in the breakfast, since there are so many cafes nearby to explore and experience the vibe of this truly unique city. One good find was at The Correr Museum, (no admission necessary), go through security and at the top of the stairs it’s on the left: Elegant rooms, usually quiet and relatively inexpensive."
"Hotel Rialto is a great location, next to the Rialto Bridge. There are numerous restaurants, stops, grocery store all around the hotel. The breakfast staff were great and friendly. We enjoyed going up to the balcony terrace in the evenings and took our own wine while enjoying the magnificent view in the evenings."
"Great property in the heart of Venice. The staff was very helpful and the location allowed us to access almost every part of the city very easily.
Restaurants and shopping are literally right outside the door, yet the property is a bit away from the frenzy and quiet when needed.
We hesitated a bit to go directly to the hotel by water taxi because it cost Euros 80 for a 15 minute ride. But it is worth the convenience of not having to lug around your suitcases from the ferry dock, looking for the hotel and going over multiple bridges."
