Nice place needs a few updates
The house is very beautiful. Just needs some up dates like wall paper coming off the celling. There is a shared bathroom but no one else stayed that night so no big deal. Maybe could just rent out the whole up stairs and fix that problem. May get more people to stay if they fell its more of their safe space. We were left coffee and breakfast that was good thank you.They gave us a key but there was sets at the bottom of the stairs at least put them away.

Thank you for your review. Every room here has it's own private bathroom. The Barrister restroom is across the hall about 15 steps. It is not a shared restroom as indicated on the room description. The Inn had been closed for a month before this guest arrival hence forth lack of guest. That was when the paper came loose. I had a business associate open the Inn while I had not returned from vacation for a guest that had a relative die. The keys hanging on the wall do not indicate the room they go to. When the Inn is open the only keys hanging, are to rooms not rented. On December 14, 2023 a guest staying in the Barrister Room wrote this in the book Thank you so much for the great visit. The rooms were perfect! Such a lovely and historic place.

Beautifully decorated 1877 home filled with antiques, and cozy elegance. Balconies and garden patio for enjoying evenings. Walking location convenient to town restaurants and shops. So relaxing we stayed a second night! Breakfast was delicious. A perfect stay! Thanks to Melanie and Versailles, Mo.

Quaint and quiet, this was a really nice place. Our room was beautifully decorated but bathroom was across the hall so that made it a 4 star review for me. The owner was very nice and accommodating and served a really nice breakfast. (Note: some bedrooms here have bath inside the rooms we happened to have one that didn’t)

Gracious southern home
Charming place on a nice property. Clean and comfortable and Melanie is very nice. My only thing is I was there on business and wish I had had more time to hang out by the firepit or in the parlour with the piano.

Nice stay, we stayed in the Barrister room; did not know until we checked in that the rooms bathroom was located across the hall outside the room. Room did not have A/C and in the 100 degree temps sleeping was a little uncomfortable with only a fan in the room. Will I stay here again .... definitely I'll just select another room.

AlLL THE ROOMS HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. There is a separate air conditioner for the upstairs and downstairs. This property has central heat and air. This guest was here approximately 2 nights and never said a word to me regarding this. AC is set at 69 degrees and this is the first time a guest has complained. All rooms have a private bathroom. No one else uses that restroom but the guest in the Barrister room. There is only 1 room close to this room and that is across the hall and it has it;s own private bath. The AC was checked by a licensed professional before the warm season started and was given an OK.

Didn’t realize it was a b&b when booked. The proprietor was kind enough to have coffee available to us since we had to leave early for a golf tournament and couldn’t stay for breakfast, which I am sure was delicious from the aroma of bread baking when I checked in.

Quick, comfy stay
We had a very comfortable quick stay at this charming inn. We stayed in The Barrister Room. The king sized bed was very comfortable. We are used to a king sized bed, so we were fine with our own bathroom being across the hall & were aware of that prior to booking. The hostess checked with us ahead of time as to what time we would like breakfast & coffee & delivered as promised. We plan on visiting again!

I loved the feel of this inn. Very comfortable and unique! The host was very helpful and made a wonderful breakfast. Much better than any hotel you’d stay at. The bed was super comfy and there’s a lovely porch you can utilize and a little sitting garden as well for warmer months!
