The room we were in was spotless, spacious and extremely comfortable. I appreciated the little touches like a coloring book with its color pencils or the plants and flowers in the room. Secure parking was a bonus. Obviously if you spend more you will get better but it was just an overnight stop whilst travelling."

"Ons verblijf bij La Joyeuse was in één woord geweldig. We werden heel warm en persoonlijk ontvangen, waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. De kamer was stijlvol, schoon en heel comfortabel, we hebben heerlijk geslapen. De driegangen menu is een echte aanrader: verfijnde, smaakvolle gerechten met duidelijk veel aandacht bereid. De tuin is een grote meerwaarde: een rustige, sfeervolle plek om even helemaal te ontspannen. Wat voor ons echt het verschil maakte, was de oprechte gastvrijheid....

"Well presented room, in a quirky building that was slightly difficult to find as the name board has fallen down at some time and not been put back up. Would consider using again, but might look for options slight closer to the centre of Montlucon. We were only staying for one night on our way south through France. Staff friendly, continental breakfast ok and parking on site."
