This is a wonderful property , the staff were fantastic. Beautifully decorated, in a quiet and picturesque part of Venice . Close walking distance to restaurants shops and St Marks square.

It was our first visit to Venice. This location was perfect for exploring, within 5/6 minutes walk of St Mark's square and 5 mins walk to get airport transfers at the Lagoon. It's a quiet, characterful area. The apartment was perfect for us. Very clean and had everything we needed. A good supermarket just over the bridge too. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend it. Loved Venice.

Great place to stay!
This was a wonderful place to stay. Great location, close to things but also quiet. Very beautiful and spacious apartment. Only wish they brought clean towels and made beds daily. Also, it would have been great to have a clothes dryer, not just a washer. I would definitely stay here again!!

Outstanding apartment in a beautiful location
Outstanding place to stay in a fantastic, beautiful location. Only a 9min walk from the main attractions. Lovely apartment which was really clean and just perfect for us with a comprehensive kitchen and cosy bedroom. Really happy overall and made our visit extra special. Highly recommended

Great location, excellent breakfast
I chose this hotel for its proximity to the Arsenale, which was perfect. It is about a 10 minute walk to the hotel from the Alilaguna stop, which wasn't bad (even in the rain), and the staff were good about communicating the opening hours beforehand. My room was nothing spectacular, clean and simple, but I appreciated the complimentary drinks and the garden view. The breakfast was excellent, with bread, meat, cheese, yogurt, fruit, egg, juice, and hot chocolate (the latter at my request).

Service was great during Aqua Alta
Our family of four stayed in 1 bedroom apartment with sofa bed. It was large and perfect for our needs including a full kitchen we barely used. The location was excellent for us as we wanted to visit San Marco/ Rialto areas (short walk), and Murano/ Burano (short walk to boats to these islands). Airport drop off and pick up by boat also were easy walks. The main reason I gave such high marks was the excellent and friendly service from EVERY member of staff. They were so helpful and spoke English great. Their kitchen was being remodeled so they delivered our breakfast each morning which was really nice. On our 3rd day, the Aqua Alta tide set upon Venice in the worst way since 1966. The staff communicated very well about the power needing to be cut and entry/ exit times. We had to spend a few extra hours in the hotel than we planned the last 2 days of the trip but we’re largely unimpacted thanks to the great staff. I would highly recommend to any family requiring 2 beds. When we left the staff was working hard to mitigate the damage of the water to the entry way - we felt bad about how the water had impacted so many businesses. We hope everything is ok now and that there will be better days ahead. We are grateful that our room was not impacted as it was not on street level.

Perfect for our stay!
-They were great about sending instructions & info ahead of time. SUPER helpful when planning where to park & how to get there. -Location was nice! Close enough that the walk w/ luggage from dock only ~5 minutes, but far enough away from main attractions that it was quieter, slower paced & felt safe. The walk to the main attractions seems far, but isn’t. Max 15 mins anywhere we wanted to go. -When arriving, we buzzed at the door & they let us in & told us to go to the 2nd floor. Check in was easy & she gave us a map, suggestions & lots of helpful information. -We had the “I Leoncini” room, which means “little lion,” right next to the office -Room view was very nice - over a small canal - but not visible unless standing & looking out. -The room had an older style to it, with paintings on the ceiling & older wooden furniture. It was very clean & roomy w/a large armoire, mini fridge & free water, a small table & chairs, dresser, etc. They had 2 luggage racks, which was nice. I also appreciated the USB plugs, which meant we didn’t have to use a travel adapter to charge. Air conditioning worked great! -The bed and pillows were not very comfortable for us. A little saggy on the mattress and the pillows were quite flat, but we are honestly a little picky. -Bathroom is small & shower VERY small. Just enough room to stand & turn around - similar to other hotels in Italy -Breakfast was fine, a cute little room and helpful staff, starts at 8:00. Croissants are fresh baked!

Lovely venetian style decor, spacious room overlooking the canal and very courteous staff! The lady at the reception was particularly welcoming and helpful! Excellent location, with wonderful restaurants and shops a one min walk on both sides of the canal outside the hotel and St Mark’s square a short ten min walk away.

Great apartment hotel
The Palazzo Schiavoni is a little bit of a walk from the San Marco/Zaccaria Vaporetto dock, but it’s worth it. There are really great restaurants just around the corner going either way. There’s a fruit stand not too far away also. The air conditioning worked very well. We didn’t cook in the kitchen, but used the refrigerator a lot. The breakfast was included and was very good. They had yummy croissants, bread, fruit, eggs, cheese, and meat. Cappuccino was also included and very tasty! We would definitely stay here again.

The photos of this hotel on line look amazing-just what you would imagine traditional Venetian decor to be. I was disappointed at check in to find out that my reservation was for an apartment (not in any of the photos online) located on the bottom level of the hotel. I was fine an apartment, but not fine with the fact that the accommodations were nothing like those advertised online. The room was musty, drab and dismal. And, no complimentary breakfast included contrary to what was listed on my reservation. The staff was welcoming and the room spacious, but fell short of my expectations. I recommend to be cautious when booking to take note if your reservation is actually at the hotel or in the apartment.

We stayed all over Italy during our 2 week vacation. Pilazzo Schiavoni was by far our most favorite place to stay! Highly recommend! If I return to Venice, I will most definitely stay here. So accommodating, friendly, clean, has AC, great location!

Wonderful location off the busy track yet short walk to the central waterfront canal route and lots of restaurants, local shops nearby. Amazing room overlooking a side canal and the most beautiful painted ceiling.

Palazzo Schiavoni
The Palazzo Schiavoni was very well-located for seeing Milan, close to St. Mark’s but really in a local neighborhood. So much so that when we took a walking tour with a local guide, all of us were surprised to find we were practically neighbors, as he lived about 1000 feet further down the ria. Of course, we were in a hotel room and he occupied the entire top floor of a huge palazzo left to him by his grandmother. Schiavoni was a wonderful stay, the owner was so friendly and helpful, as were her staff. Room was smallish but comfortable and when you left a window open overnight, you awoke to the sounds of the neighborhood waking up. Delightful. Breakfast was, well, elegant. More than enough to start the day, and included with the room. We arrived in Venice by train and took the vaporetto to the San Zaccaria stop, a five minute walk from the hotel. But a friend of ours, who recommended the hotel to us, has some mobility issues and was able to take a water taxi to the front door, as the Schiavoni is located canalside. There is an elevator, but one would encounter a couple of steps at locations throughout the property, so a potential guest might want to take that into account. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our five day stay and would be happy to return, and to return to that beautiful, quickly, and captivating city.
