The hotel is well situated for the bus & train station; we arrived by train and found it easy to find. The decor of the room was very ornate and luxurious, also clean & tidy. The room was very large and spacious, but lacked amenities such as no tea/coffee making facilities. It also had a flat screen TV on the wall. The bathroom was huge, clean and bright with a large corner bath and shower/shower screen over. Good plug points, hairdryer, a large mirror over the sink and also a small magnifying mirror. No shower gel was provided, only shampoo, body lotion, shower caps and a small bar of soap. We had to asked Reception for bottles of shower gel. The wardrobe was perfectly adequate, but was only equipped with 5 wooden hangers and there was absolutely no drawer space for storing underwear/anything else in the room whatsoever; it’s a good job we brought our own foldable plastic hangers with us and we stored our other belongings on the spare bed in the room. The safety deposit box in the wardrobe had no power so we were unable to open/lock it via the keypad. We locked/opened it only by using the master key, which we had to keep getting from Reception. Breakfast was ok, but no hot food. We were also disappointed that we did not get a free bottle of sparkling wine, which was stated on our Expedia invoice. We forgot that this was part of package until day we checked out. We feel we shouldn’t have had to ask for the free bottle of wine, it should have been in our room when we arrived.
